The role purpose is to govern the business plan and provide the business with an effective project management framework and toolkit. To manage the business plan day-to-day, leading the prioritisation, sequencing and resourcing of projects, and provide timely and insightful reporting to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and embed a project management framework and toolkit for Boots Opticians, communicate it effectively and support the business in using it consistently
• Govern the business plan day-to-day, including tracking progress versus plan, managing dependencies, appraising new projects, advising on prioritisation and sequencing, highlighting resourcing challenges and tracking benefits
• Prepare for and facilitate the Change Steering Group meeting and ensure actions are completed
• Align the business change governance with IT and Finance governance processes
• Be the ‘go-to’ contact for the business on project management leading practice

A bit about you:

• You have deep knowledge of project management methodologies and approaches
• The ability to set-up, embed and lead a programme management office, leveraging the latest thinking and approaches
• Are experienced in managing large and complex business plans
• Highly collaborative workstyle with the ability to engage and mobilise people around common goals with the ability to influence project leads and challenge effectively where required
• Knowledge and experience of digital project management tools
