As a Business Analyst at Global Brands, you will support the IT Business partner to engage with business functions in order to understand their strategy and business plans and to help formulate Business/IT roadmaps and also provide support and accountability on assigned project deliverables

You will be responsible in developing initial project requirements for each project at a high level epic and then drill down into detailed requirements/user stories/ process diagrams to enable the project team to develop solutions and embed new ways of working in the business teams. Supporting Business adoption is also a key aspect of the role.

The role will also require a high level of stakeholder management across the organisation as well as working towards deliverables and achieving timescales outlined in the plan

Key Responsibilities

• Planning - Support the Product Manager to develop product roadmaps which deliver the IT solutions to support the business strategy and plans for the next 1 and 3 years
• Business engagement and change - Manage and maintain relationships with agreed stakeholders (both business and technical) to shape, influence and inform project direction
• Identifying and capturing requirements - Work with business and IT stakeholders (Technical Product Managers, Sponsors, SME’s Architecture, Service etc.) to define and capture the backlog of high level requirements/epics, Business process mapping including functional, non-functional and IT operational (Service) requirements for the project.
• Managing the requirements throughout the project lifecycle - Ensure requirements (both functional and non-functional) are sufficient for Design and Development teams and work with them through the design, development and testing to clarify requirements where necessary engaging sponsors, Technical Product Manager(s) and SME’s where needed
• Process and quality - Follow the WBA/GB IT project delivery methodology and processes consistently, identifying issues and opportunities to promote continuous improvement of the delivery processes
• Ability to provide guidance and challenge stakeholders on the status quo

You will develop the detailed requirements/backlog for each project initially at level 1-4 and then drill down into detailed requirements/user stories to enable the project team to develop solutions which will then feed in to the financial planning and evaluation of the business Case. This will require end to end collaboration with both internal business and external vendors.

• Extensive knowledge of business analysis techniques
• Experience of influencing stakeholders on the options, scope and solutions for proposed initiatives
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience required will vary depending on the size and complexity of projects undertaken
• Experience in working in global tams across multiple time zones
• Beneficial to have CPG experience and a background in Sales & Operational Planning and Integrated Business Planning.
