Customer Data Governance Analyst

This is your chance to be part of shaping the future for Boots. Our data capabilities are continuing to grow and we have big plans to enhance customer and patient data governance across the organisation. To support our data vision, we are looking for someone join our Loyalty & Personalisation Development team, to support the Customer Data Governance Manager with the creation and implementation of data governance principles across the business. You will work cross functionally, using your experience and expertise to deliver insight, to support a step change in data governance and data quality across the organisation. This is a hugely rewarding role, with good exposure to a wide range of stakeholders across numerous business functions.
Key Responsibilities

• Leading the way in understanding our customer and patient data, analysing big data sets, profiling data from new and existing business areas and seeking out trends and behaviours to get to the heart of problems.
• Developing great relationships and working effectively with stakeholders from across the business such as Loyalty, Opticians, Healthcare, Digital, IT and Regulatory.
• Supporting the Customer Data Governance Manager in the establishment and adoption of data governance standards and policies across the business.
• Ownership of regular reporting and metrics that measure and track changes in areas of focus such as data quality, error rates, validation failures and data issues to drive improvements in customer data quality across all business areas
• Working with and leading a group of data stewards from across the business to use the above metrics and reporting to drive forward the quality, matching, completeness and accuracy of our customer data
A bit about you:

• You can demonstrate experience of analysing large sets of data through SQL or similar query tools. You can also demonstrate experience of writing code, more specifically using SQL
• You will have experience of working with big data
• Passionate about data with excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage workload and deadlines independently while keeping key stakeholders informed of progress
• Ability to analyse at a technical level whilst being able to confidently interpret findings and deliver actionable insight and recommendations to an audience with little or no analytical, statistical or numerical background
• Passionate about understanding customers, solving problems, looking for patterns and trends and improving the quality of our customer data
