As a Business Analyst at Boots, you will support the Technical Product Manager to engage with business functions in order to understand their strategy and business plans and to formulate product roadmaps.
You will develop the requirements/backlog for each project initially at high/epic level and then drill down into detailed requirements/user stories to enable the project team to develop solutions.
• Planning - Support the Product Manager to develop product roadmaps which deliver the IT solutions to support the business strategy and plans for the next 1 and 3 years• Business engagement and change - Manage and maintain relationships with agreed stakeholders (both business and technical) to shape, influence and inform project direction• Identifying and capturing requirements - Work with business and IT stakeholders (Technical Product Managers, Sponsors, SME’s Architecture, Service etc.) to define and capture the backlog of high level requirements/epics, including functional, non-functional and IT operational (Service) requirements for the project• Managing requirements through the project lifecycle – Ensure requirements are documented, of high quality and sufficient for development teams to understand. This will sometimes mean maintaining a product backlog and ensuring it is prioritised accordingly while working with a Product Manager on the next items from their roadmap.• Process and quality - Follow the Boots IT project delivery methodology and processes consistently, identifying issues and opportunities to promote continuous improvement of the delivery processes
