Overview of the Role:

We’re looking for a motivated and creative Digital Copy Lead with a specialist skill in copywriting to join the Digital Experience team, to manage the delivery of digital content from brief to live on our UK and ROI websites.

You’ll manage a team of copywriters and work with a wider team of Designers and UX Specialists to ensure all briefs that come into the team are ready for production. From there, you’ll be responsible for planning resource, briefing copy, signing off copy, testing across various breakpoints and finally approving and publishing.

In a fast paced and reactive environment you’ll be relied upon to stay calm and collected to deliver a best-in-class digital experience.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Owning digital copy production from the handover of briefs into the copy team, through to creation of copy, testing, quality control, final page approvals and publishing to live.
  • Copy lead for high profile campaigns such as Christmas and Black Friday to develop and apply principles in line with the wider marketing campaigns.
  • Copy lead for the Digital development team, working with agile sprints to support projects and ad-hoc requests.
  • Owning the daily sign-off of copy on the homepage, events and offers by working collaboratively with the copy team, design leads and homepage team to ensure the best digital experience is delivered
  • Stakeholder management with internal teams and external agencies including commercial and operations teams, and marketing communications, to ensure language integration and approvals prior to go live.
  • Managing the test and learn plan, working with the Optimisation team on A/B testing, supplying copy options, evaluating and applying findings to future campaigns
  • Being the guardian and managing compliance to the digital copy principles and documentation for the digital experience production team
  • Staying current with emerging technology, industry best practices and design trends/patterns, thinking about how these can be applied to our business.
  • Responsibility for the development of a small team of copywriters

A bit about you:

• At least 2 years’ worth of experience digital copywriting for a commercial site
• Foundational digital UX skills
• CMS experience (Coremedia would be ideal)
• Excellent project management, organisation and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Collaborative stakeholder management
• Customer focussed thinking
• Flexibility, as ‘out of hours’ working will be required
