Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacist 2021 – Scotland
We’re delighted to support the development and training of Pharmacy students by offering a 12 month placement in one of our Pre-Registration training stores across Scotland. During your time with Boots you can really get to understand what it’s like to work in a community pharmacy and build on the experience you’ve gained at university.
Your Pre-registration Placement
You’ll be a major part of the Pharmacy team, ensuring the care that we deliver puts the patient at the centre of everything.
Last year around 90% of our Pre-registration Pharmacists in Scotland received Newly Qualified Pharmacist job offers with us. We can provide you with a fantastic start to your Pharmacy career with Boots, supporting your development and helping to shape your career as a future leader.
In addition to the support of your tutor and Pharmacy colleagues you will also have monthly study days led by a Healthcare Academy Trainer with your fellow Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacists in the region. These study days will cover things like calculations, clinical development, and pharmacy business. We also hold an annual conference where all of our Pre-registration students come together to provide some CPD sessions and recent updates on Pharmacy.
What you’ll need
You’ll be proactive and have a ‘one team’ mentality – after all it’s our people that are at the heart of our business. It’s a fantastic opportunity to add to your own development, and a chance to learn more about us as a business. We’re looking for naturally warm people who show genuine care. You’ll care about your own development and that of your peers to help shape the future of community pharmacy.
The future with Boots
Your Pre-registration year could open up even more opportunities with Boots. If you continue with us as a Newly Qualified Pharmacist you’ll be supported during your first 1000 days of training through the RPS accredited Foundation Programme. This will build on all of the skills you gained throughout your time at university, and your Pre-registration year.
