In Year One you will be based at our Nottingham Support Office, which is the hub of our Boots UK business. During this year you will gain experience across various areas of the business through working in project specific roles.
These roles are designed to immediately immerse you into the core of finance. They could include projects in Commercial Finance, where we work with the business to analyse the impact of changes made in the company, or a project in Finance Shared Services, which includes Financial Accounting and Information Management.
These are real projects which have been prioritised by the Finance Leadership Team and therefore you may work on more than one during your time in Nottingham. Each will have clear deliverables and will give you the opportunity to make a real difference to the business.
In Year Two you will either be based at our Group Support Office in Weybridge or at our Wholesale Division Support Office in Chessington.
In Weybridge your focus will be around Financial Accounting, Financial Planning and Reporting. This assignment will give you a great overview of the organisation, our revenue and cost base, and provide you with essential accounting knowledge to support your studies.
In Chessington you will work with the Wholesale Analysis Team covering a wide range of responsibilities focusing on group business performance and planning.
For the first six months of Year Three you will be given the opportunity to go out and secure a final placement, whether that is working with our International Teams across Europe specialising in a more technical area such as Taxation or Financial Reporting or returning to Nottingham to focus on our Boots UK business.
In the second six months of Year Three you will have the opportunity to undertake another placement to provide you with a great understanding of retail which will benefit your future career with the group.
