Our teams across the UK are growing fast. Reliable and responsible, they don’t only deliver prescriptions – they deliver the kind of customer service we’re famous for.
Because not all of our customers can get to our pharmacies to collect their prescriptions, Boots created the Pharmacy Delivery & Collection Service (PDC).
The service was developed to provide a caring, consistent and professional UK-wide service, delivering prescriptions to care home facilities and to people in their homes, as well as collecting prescriptions from GP surgeries.
We make sure the service is as efficient as it is friendly. There are teams of delivery drivers across the country and we use a web-based system to plan the optimum routes for our teams every morning, afternoon and evening, based on the delivery and collection requests we get from our in-store colleagues.
It’s satisfying knowing you have really helped people. That’s what our delivery drivers tell us – that they feel good about making a difference to our customer’s lives.
Their day is varied: from delivering medication to care homes to collecting prescriptions from GP surgeries and delivering vital medicines to people at home.
We look for responsible people who can provide a professional service. That means having the people skills to build good relationships with store colleagues and customers plus the attention to detail to ensure medicines are handled carefully and safely. You may well have had a driving job before, but this isn’t essential – naturally you’re calm and confident behind the wheel.
