Application advice

The whole application process will take around 45 minutes, so make sure you sit down somewhere quiet to complete the form. Below is some important information to help you get the most out of your application.

Placement location

We'll be asking you to tell us your first and second choice locations. This is because some areas are so popular we can't guarantee everyone their first choice. Places like London, Manchester, Birmingham and other big cities are all very popular choices and we recommend selecting a smaller city or town to increase your chances of success.

We will also ask you if you want to be considered for a Priority Location. If we are unable to offer you your first or second choice location, we will consider you for your Priority Locations. As with so much in life, flexibility is the key to success.

And 3rd years, remember, whichever location you are offered for your 2012 SPP will most likely be where you are offered your preregistration place if you are successful.

Situational judgement questions

There will also be some situational judgement questions that ask you to tell us what you would do in certain situations. Please answer honestly; it is often recommended to go with your gut instinct when completing these questions, to give a true representation of your strengths and capabilities.

Free text question

There will be one question with a 250 word limt, this is your opportunity to fully present yourself to your potential future employer. Think carefully and make sure you make the most of this opportunity.

And finally

Make sure you have completed everything before you submit your application. You will receive an email to thank you once it has been submitted.
