For four consecutive years, the North East has been voted the nation's favourite English city break by The Times Travel Awards. Move here and you'll have plenty to explore: walking, cycling and fishing on the North Pennines and Northumberland coast (both designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty), mooching in the pubs, restaurants and markets in Alnwick, Durham, Yarm and Hexham, or absorbing yourself in all that the fantastic city of Newcastle has to offer. Newcastle PCT's community pharmacy services include a smoking cessation PGD and Pharmacy First, and a minor ailments scheme. Newcastle and the Metro Centre are large stores whilst there are many Health & Beauty and local pharmacy stores throughout the area. There are regular CPPE sessions and the local pharmacists meet up on alternate months to attend workshops and presentations. You'll find good support: many of the stores have a full team of trained, experienced dispensers and ACTs.
