My story is how I’m part of a business that isn’t just looking to make a profit.

My job is ridiculously varied. I look after all the administration for the Buyer, and get involved in everything from price changes to competitor activity to product merchandising - even designing the page layouts for our ‘Baby & You’ magazine. I’ve also worked with the Buyer to explore (and taste!) different foods and snacks. Obviously we try to increase sales as much as possible but it’s not all about profit. I was surprised at how much CSR Boots gets involved in. We’ll go along to the local school for an hour every Tuesday and read to the children or paint with them, plus I’m running a marathon for Macmillan. It’s a nice place to work: we treat our people and our suppliers as well as we treat our customers.
