How to Apply

Before you apply, please make sure that you have read and understood all the information on this site and that this programme is right for you.

You can read about the stages of the online application below - and when you've decided you're ready click on the apply button to take your first step in the application process.

Step by step

Stage One
First, you'll need to answer some qualifying questions to make sure you meet the basic criteria for the programme. Provided you meet these requirements, we'll next ask for your CV, personal information and details about your education and work experience.

Stage Two
Stage Two has three parts:

  • Six Data Analysis questions, designed to show whether you have the basic level of numeracy skills that our programme demands. This section will take no more than 10 minutes.
  • Two application questions about why you are interested in joining the Boots Finance Programme. Each answer is limited to 250 words and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. (You can take your time; you can even log out of the application at this stage and come back and complete it later.)
  • Behavioural Questionnaire, which has been benchmarked against leaders across Boots. This questionnaire should take no more than 15 minutes - you should give your first response to each question and not spend too much time thinking about your answer. (You need to complete this questionnaire in one go, as the system will not allow you to finish at a later time.)

Stage Three
If you meet the benchmarks for Stage Two, we'll ask you to complete a more in-depth online numerical test that looks for the level of numerical ability that would be required in the role. This test should take no more than about 30 minutes and will need to be completed in one go, so make sure you have the time to complete it before you log-on to start.

If you are successful at this stage, you'll be invited to an all-day assessment centre in Nottingham.

Assessment Centre
The assessment centre, is the final part of our screening process. This will test your skills in several scenarios - some you'll take part in on your own, some will be with a group. It will give us the opportunity to assess your skills and behaviours to see if you're truly right for this challenge.

If you're invited to an assessment centre, we'll send you a link to our preparation site that will give you all the information you need to prepare and do your best on the day.
