What will I gain from the Programme?

A Boots apprenticeship will give you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to fast track your career at Boots. But there’s a whole lot more in it for you as well. You can count on two functional placements at our support office, a chance to continue your education, and a buddy to answer your questions and de-mystify the learning process. You’ll have two placements within a specific area of our support office in Nottingham. These will give you an inside view of the way Boots runs and the amount of work that goes into making us a successful business.

You’ll never have to wonder about where you fit into the big picture because we’ll always make sure that you’re fully aware of how your work contributes to our overall objectives. What’s expected of me?

The team at our support office manage our brand and support everyone working in our stores. It’s home to departments ranging from Commercial and Retail Operations to IT and Finance – and it’s full of people who are passionate about making our business stronger, simpler and more efficient. You’ll be expected to time-manage your job and attend all formal programme activities, which we estimate will take around three days per month. You’ll also need to make an effort to understand our company and how you can make a difference within it, working with your line manager to gain a broad understanding of our business. What’s more, we’ll be counting on you to keep up a high level of performance while you’re on the programme, carrying out the responsibilities of your role to the best of your ability.

Applications for the 2012 Apprenticeship programme will open in May and placements will start in October. Candidates will need to have achieved 3 A 'levels at grade C or above, excluding General Studies, in order to be eligible for the programme. All applications will be on-line.
